When our children, Nigel and Alexandra, were growing up, I frequently told them stories about events which happened and lessons my twin brother Russell and I learned as boys and youth growing up in Australia. These stories began with the surprise birth of twins to the challenges of the depression years to our graduation from college.
The stories are not always flattering to two boys born into a very poor but deeply dedicated family, but they provide unique, first-hand insight into the happenings and events which were to lay the foundation of that which has led us to a lifetime of service for our Saviour.
The stories were favorites with our children, and I believe they will be to readers of all ages as they sense the struggles and the issues which we faced and, above all, how our Saviour guided our lives.
