Product Condition Key

Product Condition Descriptions
Below is a guide to understanding the product condition ratings especially for used items. Most items that have any notable flaws will have them explained in the description and the following is a guide for overall condition.

New
• Brand new, not used
• May be limited stock which will not be renewed when sold out

Damaged
• New item but may have been shop soiled or damaged in transit
• Damage will most likely be explained further in description

Like New
• Second hand item but in condition as new
• Most likely never been read or used
• May have very minor bookshelf type marks

Very Good
• Nice, presentable second hand item
• Binding firm
• Cover and spine still very presentable
• May have light creasing or a few dog ears
• Outer page edges may be a little discoloured
• May have bookshelf type marks to book corners
• Unlikely to have marking: perhaps one or two or a name in cover

Good
• Overall a good book but may have some of the following: 
• Glue binding may have weakened but all pages still intact
• Stitch binding may be a little loose
• Spine may have faded but covers still presentable
• May have some creases in cover or pages
• May have damaged book corners
• Pages may be a little discoloured, especially around edges
• May have some highlighting or marking
• Minor water or insect damage
• Combination of lesser faults

Fair
• Still in readable condition, but may have some of the following:     
• Binding deteriorating, may have loose pages
• Cover faded or bent
• Some tears and/or heavy marking
• Discoloured pages
• Water or insect damage
• Combination of lesser faults

Poor
• May have any of the following:
• Binding falling apart
• Torn cover or pages
• Front and/or back cover missing
• Pages missing
• Heavily marked
• Extensive water or insect damage
• Combination of lesser faults
