SAM BROWN has a new employee. He is a real “crackerjack of a workman — greedy for work — really knows his business from A to Z,” says Sam. But when Frank Richards asks to have every Saturday off to keep the Seventh-day Sabbath according to his conscience and knowledge of the Bible, Sam and his wife are not pleased. Together with their Pastor and friends they formulate a ten-point plan to show him the error of his ways. “He's just a flat tyre, and needs mending and pumping up. Some religious fanatic has sideswiped him hard. He's got to be repaired,” says Sam.
Armed with their list and confident of success, Sam Brown and his Pastor go to Frank Richards to present the “truth” about Sunday keeping, but things don't go as expected.
Sarah Brown then takes the battle to Mrs. Richards, with the same result — they are unable to “repair” the Richards family.
What happens, and who gets “repaired” is the theme of this interesting and Bible based little book.
