Of the seven churches recorded in Revelation two and three, the most obvious and important church for our time is the last, Laodicea. "The message to the Laodicean church is highly applicable to us people."—7BC p961 Living in the times we are, it is imperative to our salvation to take the time to study Laodicea, as it has a wake up call from our insipid sleepy state, and some strong and relevant counsel to pull us out of our lukewarm stupor.

This book is written in the hope of rowsing the sleeping saints from their slumber, realising their great need, then from that stimulation of mind, do something about it. Laodicea gives no commendation, only condemnation. Revelation 3:14-17 explains the state of this church in its fearful state of despair, but may we be encouraged the counsel does not end there. To continue reading the rest of the chapter gives the reader hope when taking on the counsel of the True Witness.

The gold tried in the fire, the white rainment and the heavenly eyesalve are just the right ingredients for us to experience and apply to our lives to see us through in these last traumatic days. Bear up dear reader, every trial you experience, will develop a stronger character, and a strong character will bring the smile of Jesus Christ upon you, and eventually the prize of the high calling, which is heaven itself.
