Believe it or not, we have been facing this world pandemic for almost two years. It is a second birthday that the world is perhaps enduring, but not really celebrating! The news about Wuhan seems to be long forgotten, and various variants have taken its place and the Delta strain is the one reigning supreme at present, raging through the world. And already there are whispers of new variants on the horizon and others may well continue to appear.
For a good 170 years, we as a people of prophecy have been proclaiming the closing signs of this world. Now we see those signs unfolding right before our eyes. With the current happenings in our land, it is changing from prophecy to present reality. We are a very different nation to what we were one and a half years ago.
At creation, there was no need of the Bible with its line of tragedy and its record of sin, therefore bringing a message of salvation. Man was one with God – an extension of Himself – His family. There was no sin, the whole of creation pulsed with one beat, one divine beat, beautiful in its journey of time – whatever time was at that point!
A subject that can get very lost in Christian circles is that of reverence. What comes to the mind initially, is reverence for God Himself. That is what reverence is about after-all, but there are many areas in our lives that reverence covers.
Five great waymarks stand out as mountain peaks along the great plan of salvation, as we look at it for us in the New Testament era.
2020 has been one of turmoil with unprecedented change, severe sickness and death; with parts of the globe devastated with natural disasters, with political unrest, economically struggling, leaving the world in a state of depression and to most, a very uncertain future...
Miracle! Absolutely no doubt about it, there is no question that this project that we have had a passion for and now physically completed is nothing short of a divine miracle – in fact it has been miracles upon miracles. We have no doubt that our God has been leading, not only in this project, but right through our lives.
In the last newsletter we wrote on the need and importance of getting out of the cities into the country. We felt it may be worthwhile to add another article on some practical aspects of country living, some points to avoid, others to embrace.
Fresh from the Creator's hand, our first parents were not placed in a city environment, and there was a very good reason; there were no other people, so no city!
