The long term projects of producing the Tongan Steps to Christ and National Sunday Law books reached its climax when we shipped them and they arrived in Tonga. We are excited to have these books produced and at their destination. Its great to get the feedback from Tonga that they are already being distributed throughout the country there. We are thankful to all who have contributed to these projects. There is still about $14200 to raise to cover the total costs of these two books.June 2011
We have completed the editing of the set of videos from David Asschericks series. This has been the first of this type of project we have undertaken. The set is now available for purchase here.March 2011
The demand for video has been increasing and we have now purchased a HD digital video camera. This was initially used to film an outreach series conducted by David Asscherick in Christchurch. In the future we hope to get another matching camera to replace our old SD camera we have been using as a second camera at present.December 2010
A container of bulk books, Bibles and outreach materials from Remnant Publications has arrived. We are currently in the process of pricing stock and entering them onto the online shop.June 2010
The online shop is continuing to evolve with new improvements happening all the time. We are also working on having second hand items available ina much more usable and searchable way.April 2010
We have recently taken on two new staff members to assist with the work here at present. Samantha is working in the office and will assist with your orders and the day-to-day office processes. Cherie is helping in the production, promotion and web areas.
This increases our staff to 5 full time and 2 part time and we have various volunteer helpers at different times for specific projects.
We have also upgraded our production workstations and added another computer to accommodate the staff and improve our ability.January 2010
January was primarily occupied with campmeetings which were a great blessing to those that attended.November 2009
We have now reached the point that we have been able to launch an online shop. This has been functioning since the beginning of November but is still being developed further.November 2009
Korina, whom many of you have known, has given faithful service for the last three years in the office, taking over from Madelene, who gave her energies to the ministry work for ten years previous to that. Korina took over from her sister when she left to look after her new family commitments. We have appreciated their dedication to the ministry work and both enjoyed their time in the work.Korina has now commitments that will take her away from a full time position in the office. She and her husband now have a little newborn son, Ethan to nurture, and bring up in the admonition of our Lord.
Korina will still have some involvement in the work here with of book-keeping, accounts, IRD, etc.
Both girls still do have input to help in the running of the ministry work here and we take this small opportunity to express our thanks to them both for their dedication to help the many souls they have been in touch with over the combined years of their service.
We sense God does have a way of planning things because:
• Both girls are the daughters of the same parents
• Both girls had their children in the same hospital
• Both girls have a boy as their firstborn
• Both girls had their first child at age 26
• Both girls had their firstborn on the same date, November 27November 2009
The container of bulk books, Bibles and outreach materials arrived in mid November without hassles. We have unloaded and stored the items and have priced them economically in order to get them out as fast as possible. See here.November 2009
As a response to a request for Hymn books for the Solomon Islands, a fund was collected at the 2009 Summer camps. While we were importing bulk items from the USA in the recent container load, we included 100 hymnbooks. Shortly after the container arrived we sent those 7 cases to the Solomon Islands for their worship and congregational singing. We certainly thank all who made this gift possible and as a result, may their voices bring harmony and song and be a witness to our faith.September 2009
We have recently installed two heatpumps in the two main work areas. These help to maintain an even temperature at reasonable costs which is ideal for the machinery and paper/book storage.September 2009
We have replaced the station wagon that we use as the ministry runabout, with a later model as the old one was starting to shows its age and require work on it.September 2009
Korina, who has been in the office for a number of years, will no longer be our main office girl as she is due to have her first child soon. Next year she will still be helping with some of the background work but will be dedicating more of her time to her family. We are thankful for the time and effort she has dedicated over the years. As yet we have not secured someone to fill her role in the office.
