Expect a camp experience! The accommodation will be in bunkrooms or cabins. Each camper will be assigned a bunkroom, if you have any concerns regarding where you are put, please speak to one of the staff.
One of the camp favourites! Three tasty, nondairy, vegetarian meals will be provided each day. If you have special dietary requirements please include a note with your registration.
Camp starts with an evening meal on the first Wednesday of the Spring school holidays. This will be followed by an introduction to camp and evening worship. The camp will finish after breakfast on the following Monday morning.
Each day begins around 6:30am and morning worship will be at 7am. Breakfast will follow at 8am. Most mornings will be occupied with Bible classes, which may include Bible lessons, study and memorization. Lunch will be about midday. The afternoons will involve practical and recreational activities. After the evening meal each day there will be evening worship and a walk. Lights out at 9.30pm.
The camps feature a wide and varied selection of activities:
• Bible classes, including Bible lessons, study and memorization.
• Recreational & social activities, including practical learning, nature & outdoor activities, crafts, cooking & cleanup, etc.
• Morning and evening worship
• Music, bring your instrument and voice!
• Nature walks
• Special activities
Expect a challenge at Youth Bible Camp! As well as some of the main activities, there will be lots of other interesting activities too. These will be creative, thought provoking, educational and challenging!
All campers will be expected to participate in all activities where possible. Campers may be split into smaller groups for some activities including meal preparation, washup, cleaning, music, afternoon activities etc. If you have special needs or limitations please notify us early.
The camp is assisted and planned by a number of people who see the need for youth to fellowship with others of like faith and to assist each other in Christian growth. The administration and direction has been organised by Autumn Leaves NZ Ltd.
There are special speakers who attend to share the Bible classes and worship times. There will also be other experienced folk to assist at the camp and organise activities.
The staff will be joining in with the meetings and activities, to share their commitment to the Lord and uphold Christian standards. If at any time you have a need, be sure to speak to one of the staff, we only choose approachable staff to assist at Youth Bible Camp.
It is the camper's responsibility to get to camp, but we can assist you where possible. Be in touch with us if you need assistance, or can help others with transport.
We really encourage everyone to attend the whole camp as you will gain a much better experience but we appreciate that some who want to come may not be able to attend the whole camp because of work commitments. Any special transport arrangements will have to be made in advance. Those coming for only part of camp must also fill in an application form.
