Woodend Christian Camp

The South Island Summer camp is held at Woodend Christian Camp ground which is located close to Woodend beach and surrounded by pine forest about 30 mins north of Christchurch.

The grounds of the camp are very well kept and the facilities are very good.

Accommodation

There are three accommodation options.

Cabins have two beds per room, toilets and showers are across an accessway.

Bunk rooms have between seven to twelve beds per room. Toilets and showers are within the same building.

Families will be kept together where at all possible.

Own accommodation. There is good grass area for those bringing campervans, tents and caravans.

You will need
Under-blanket or sheet to go over supplied mattress.
Bedding needs – sheets and blankets, or sleeping bags
Pillow and pillowcase
Toiletries etc.

There is relatively good vehicle access to the accommodation to unload and load your belongings. After unloading please park your vehicle away from accessways.

Other Notes

Camp Management Requirements
No fires are to be lit – no exceptions.
No dogs are allowed at camp.

When you arrive please go to the main hall first to register.

Directions

From SOUTH: Drive north on State Highway 1. Just as you enter Woodend turn sharp right into Beach road. This is the main road to Woodend Beach.

From NORTH: Drive south on State Highway 1. Just as you leave Woodend veer left into Beach road. This is the main road to Woodend Beach.

From WEST: Drive east from Rangiora on the Rangiora/Woodend Road. When you reach SH1 turn right then straight away turn left into Beach road. This is the main road to Woodend Beach.

Once on beach road, look for a sign on the left marking Woodend Christian Camp. It is 1km before you get to the beach.
